Growth Objectives

With the reputation built in China and Canada, CIBT is in a unique position to deliver western content to the rapidly growing emerging Asian market. The Company has established a hybrid bricks and clicks Global Learning Network that allows for the scalability of online learning and the quality of in-class instruction. Using corporate grade video conferencing technology, CIBT is connecting teaching studios in Vancouver and Beijing with GLN classrooms across Asia. This gives the GLN classrooms western content from western instructors without the travel and accommodation costs. CIBT is expecting to use this niche product as a platform to grow the number of partner schools across emerging Asia and ultimately develop and amplify an international Global Learning Network.

Expansion into new products or regions is typically undertaken through acquisition. Acquisitions serve as cost effective methods of expansion since they decrease the learning curve and ramp-up period when entering new regions or offering new educational products.
