History
Founded in 1994, CIBT capitalized on China's growing
middle-income market. CIBT School of business China has
since specialized in serving the middle market using
geographically specialized campuses within less
competitive regions. CIBT has been ranked as Top 2 best

5 Sino-Foreign Colleges in China by edu.qq.com.
Over the years, CIBT has acquired Sprott-Shaw Community
College, founded in 1903, and King George International
College, founded in 1996. Both colleges have long and
established reputations in Canada.

Growth Objectives

corporate grade video conferencing technology, CIBT is
connecting teaching studios in Vancouver and Beijing
with GLN classrooms across Asia. This gives the GLN
classrooms western content from western instructors
without the travel and accommodation costs. CIBT is
expecting to use this niche product as a platform to
grow the number of partner schools across emerging Asia
and ultimately develop and amplify an international
Global Learning Network.

cost effective methods of expansion since they decrease
the learning curve and ramp-up period when entering new
regions or offering new educational products.
